Fleadh Cheoil Sligo

The Fleadh Cheoil is the world’s biggest and best traditional Irish music festival and will take place in Sligo between 10th-17th August 2014.

Since 1951 the Fleadh Cheoil has grown in size and now attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Now held in August, the 2005 and 2006 events were held in Letterkenny, County Donegal, and the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Fleadheanna were held in Tullamore in County Offally. Cavan was the host town for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Fleadhanna.

The 2008 Tullamore Fleadh Cheoil  attracted an estimated crowd of 250,000 people making it Ireland’s largest festival, music or otherwise that year.

The largest Fleadh to date was 2013 when the Fleadh was held in Derry/Londonderry.  The event attracted 430,000 people.

In 2014 Milestone Inventive is managing the sales, project management and distribution of concessions at the Sligo Fleadh Cheoil.  This will serve to both  enhance the overall festival atmosphere of the event, cater to the needs of the large volume of visitors and generate commercial revenue to support the event.

Milestone’s role also covers event production to the extent that we are responsible for site planning, safety and operations within the 7 designated trading areas in the city.
