News Release
Galway County Council Arts Office proudly presents Ceol an Fhómhair – a programme of dynamic music events taking place in September and October as part of the ‘Local Live Performance Programming Scheme’.
On Sunday 18th of September Paddy Casey and Mundy will perform at the Athenry MAD Festival with support from Saoirse Casey. Produced by Athenry Heritage Centre.
Singer-songwriter Paddy Casey has been at the forefront of the Irish music scene since his multi-platinum selling debut album ‘Amen (So Be It)’ in 1999. Paddy’s career has seen him play stages all over Ireland and the globe. This performance is even closer to Paddy’s heart as his daughter Saoirse is the support act.
Mundy is one of Ireland’s most celebrated songwriters and performers. Since rising to prominence in the ‘90s, he’s released a string of acclaimed albums and songs including ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘July’.
This all-ages event kicks off at 4pm in Athenry Community Park. With face painting and stilt walking, this will be fun for the entire family! The event is free and you don’t need a ticket. So come and join us! Check out athenryheritagecentre.com for more information.
