Ceol and Fhómhair – Galway County Council LLPPS

In 2022, on behalf of the Galway County Council Arts Office, Milestone produced Ceol an Fhómhair -a programme of dynamic music events which took place in September and October as part of the ‘Local Live Performance Programming Scheme’. Co-ordinated alongside trusted and innovative cultural organisations in Galway, the events provided an early autumn treat through the county.

The Local Live Performance Programming Scheme supports employment and wellbeing in the commercial arts and culture sectors by providing live performances through engaging with local professional artists, musicians, crew and staff members involved in live performances across Galway County.

On Sunday 18th of September Paddy Casey and Mundy performed at the Athenry MAD Festival with support from Saoirse Casey and produced by Athenry Heritage Centre. On October 1st, Tracy Bruen headlined a free concert in Tuam along with exciting performances from upcoming artists The Rosecaps, local Tuam band The Restricted, solo artists Sarah Brookfield and Jayden Murphy. At the Ballinasloe Horse Fair which took place on the 2nd of October,  crowds gathered to listen to local artists Mike Denver and Rachel Goode and her band, plus 4 Men and a Base.
