National Heritage Week
Milestone coordinates National Heritage Week on behalf of The Heritage Council. The week itself takes place annually at the end of August and comprises over 1700 individual events, staged by almost a thousand different organisers across the country. Milestone’s role in coordinating this initiative includes:
Project Management
- Developing and managing IT systems for the accurate registration of 1700+ events
- Managing the project budgets
- Liaising with all stakeholders and national institution
- Managing National Heritage Week’s website, app development, and social media campaigns
- Running national competitions and photography projects
- Dealing with all public enquiries
Marketing
- Design, copywriting and production of a 300 page, high quality, printed National Event Guide and planning and coordinating the distributions of 50,000 copies to such outlets as heritage sites, museums, libraries, tourist offices and hotels nationwide
- Producing extensive marketing collateral, including posters, logos, DL Brochures, newspaper inserts and information leaflets
- Managing advertising campaigns (domestic and overseas) across print media, radio, TV and online for maximum exposure at minimum cost. This includes establishing and managing media partnership relationships (RTE & Irish Times)
- Identifying and generating content for National and Regional press releases that best communicate the substantial value and diversity of Ireland’s heritage
- Creating and maintaining substantial databases and the distribution of newsletters via online applications
Research and Evaluation
- Researching, collecting and collating information relating to all the events
- The measurement and evaluation of all metrics including website and app analytics, audience numbers, classification and satisfaction levels, social media monitoring, press clippings, audience and organiser surveying and competition entries and engagement
Training
- Providing training, support and resources to all event organisers, Heritage Officers and stakeholders
